Hi everyone. My name is Anne from Mahina Arts. I am the owner of Mahina Arts and I am the artist , mural artist and illustrator.

Since the early eighties Annarine Chapman taught herself her artistic skills using different types of mediums.

As the years progressed she became very passionate about art and developed masterpieces under her business name, Anne’s Illustrations. In 2014, she decided to rename her business, Mahina Arts. Annarine is deeply inspired by the ocean and nature. She expresses that “the moon has a special feeling in my heart” and chose

the name “Mahina” because it translates to the moon in the Tongan language.

Annarine has a couple of studios around the world where she creates her magic using many different types of mediums on canvas, watercolour paper and wood. She has a studio in the Kingdom of Tonga on an island off Vava’u, and another in Western Australia. Annarine has presented her work in many exhibitions in the South Pacific since 2014 and has donated her time as part of a community group to create 18 different incredible murals.She plans on doing plenty more in the future. She enjoys most the looks on people's faces when they see the outcome of her completed works. In Australia,

Annarine is also very busy with exhibitions. Little Creatures, in Fremantle WA, has asked Annarine to paint and reveal a mural at the end of March 2021 for them.

Most of Annarine’s art pieces are inspired by the ocean and conservation. Something that she loves to collaborate with, and be a part of, is Project Orca and Whale Watch Western Australia, and she is a member of Ocean Artist Society. Annarine has also contributed her art and time to the Turtles of Ngaraloo
